Purchases and ATM transactions are automatically deducted from your Community Bank checking account, so there's never any interest to pay. In addition to your monthly statement, transactions can be viewed in real-time on the Internet through e-Banking and can be downloaded to Microsoft^® Money or Quicken^® -- making record keeping easy! Community Bank of San Joaquin is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account.

Noninterest-bearing checking accounts include Demand Deposit Accounts (DDAs) and any transaction account that has unlimited withdrawals and that cannot earn interest. Also included are low-interest NOW accounts (NOW accounts that cannot earn more than 0.5% interest) and Attorney-Client Trust accounts, also known as Interest On Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTAs).

Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
